Hello,
From the beginning of 'DotA' (Defence of the Acients) mod of Warcraft 3 there has been many other 'MOBA' style games such as 'HoN' ( Heroes of Newerth) or Land of Chaos, or Bloodline Champions and the one that has been taken by storm 'LoL' (League of Legends).
As You can see all of theese pictures show you gameplays in 2nd person. Which is good and i'm not saying it is bad but just keep that in mind.
Now, league of legends has become the dominant 'MOBA' and everyone always compares all the 'MOBA' style games to league of legends. Although League of Legends includes everything a typical 'MOBA' includes ,it goes a step further with runes, masterie's and needless to say the endless releases of skins and champions.
Now onto smite. As said in the paragraph above people compare new Moba's to LoL, also as said above all of them are in 2nd person.
Smite, is a whole lot different. To begin with, it does not follow the strict second person regime as shown below:
Smite includes the full package, although you may say " So what? It's just like LoL but in 3rd person" or something else along the lines of that, but if you are expecting something mind blowing. Don't. It has everything a Moba has, although it has no runes or masteries like LoL does (the only moba out there, which makes comparing other mobas to it useless).
Smite, also unlike other Moba's use God's instead of champions or heroes which from my personal point of view is very nice as it makes you aware of the very interesting mythical creatures that people from the past have come up with. Raging from the Greek mythology to Norse to Hindu.
Smite also has a very interesting jungle option which has many different various buffs, with the harder bosses which give you a much stronger buff.
In my opinion this game is a very unique game out there that is still in closed beta, and should be really given a chance and tried out. Here is the trailer for smite! Enjoy!
